Pathetic

So I should have known...I am a procrastinator and any time I feel pressured to do something, I don't do it. So me having the idea that I could actually blog everyday without fail is a joke. Hence my no post since December 2nd. I have to laugh at myself. But here goes nothing, at least I can post every once in awhile.

Even though it's 3 weeks past Christmas, I wanted to share a few pictures of our holidays.

This year, more than ever, I tried to buy vintage, used and handmade presents.

The picture of Idaho was a gift I made to my mother and step father. My mom is from Idaho and they hope to move back there one day. Some of my favorite presents that my girls received from "Santa" were the vintage cabbage patch doll pillows (found at a thrift store), a baby sling for a little momma (from etsy) and a Puppy Surprise (remember those?!, bought off E-bay. Not pictured).

We had a fun time dressing up in vintage dresses too! And I just love knee high socks on 4 year olds!

I spent New Years Eve at work, ringing in the New Year drinking sparkling pear juice. Despite being at work, we had a great night, laughing and being silly. After I slept for a while on News Years Day, we went out shopping at our favorite thrift store. We have been searching for a working record player for awhile now, and we stumbled upon one! We were so excited. And now we are on a record buying role! John Denver, Neil Young, and lots of great others. I think this might be our new obsession!

Fridays

I hate Fridays. Most people love them, but it is the beginning of the work week for me. Blah! I am an RN in OB and the Special Care Nursery. I work 12 hour weekend night shifts. And they suck! But a girls gotta make some money I guess! I would love to find a "normal" job. You know, where you work Monday thru Friday, day shift, no weekends or holidays. But this is the life of a nurse. Someday maybe.

But enough complaining! For my December Picture Project, my husband made blueberry muffins this morning for breakfast. That is never a bad thing!

Hello Blog World

Hey there! My name is Sara. I am a wife and mama to 2. I am a lover of thrift stores, nature, arts and crafts, photography, vintage pretty things, adventures and a lot of other really cool things! I have a slight problem with spending too much time reading other blogs, so I thought I would start my own and share some of my ideas here.

To start off my blog, I am going to be participating in The December Project. Pretty pictures of every day life are so very inspiring to me that I thought this would be a great first project. Hope you enjoy!
